Dog Field Hall Lane Upminster

Who We Are

We're Guy and Emily French. Farmers. Parents. Millennials. Dog obsessed. And the people behind Foxes Farm Fields.

It all started in 2019 with a miniature dachshund called Fudge and a simple problem. We had hundreds of acres of farmland but nowhere safe to let our own dog run free. Every park visit came with that knot in your stomach wondering what dog was going to come bounding over. So we fenced off a field, made it secure and let Fudge run. That first time watching her tear across the grass with zero worry was the moment everything changed.

We opened it up to other dog owners and the response was instant. Turns out we weren't the only ones who wanted private, safe, stress free space for their dog. We were just the first ones in Essex to actually build it. One field became two. Two became three. Today we have more private dog walking fields across the county than any other operator.

Diverisified Essex farmers

In 2025 we pushed things further. We trialled our first dog walking barn because dark evenings, freezing mornings and sideways rain shouldn't mean your dog misses out. A warm, dry, private indoor space where your dog runs free and you sit with a coffee. That same year we acquired The Paw Patch, bringing even more locations under the Foxes Farm Fields name. It wasn't just about getting bigger. It was about making sure every location meets the standard we set from day one.

We're not a corporate chain. We're two millennials with a farm, a family, a sausage dog and a belief that every dog in Essex deserves space to run free safely. Fudge started this whole thing. She still inspects every new field like she's head of quality control. And honestly she probably is.
