Secure Dog Fields Near Thurrock
Thurrock dog owners, a secure field of your own is closer than you think.
You want somewhere your dog can let off steam properly, and somewhere you can stop worrying for an hour.
From Grays and Chafford Hundred to South Ockendon, Stanford le Hope and Corringham, Thurrock is busy. Homes, roads and shared spaces sit close together, and quiet open ground where you can safely unclip the lead is hard to find.

What gets in the way of a good walk in Thurrock
The surprise dog. Shared spaces mean other dogs, and not every owner keeps theirs close. One rush across the grass is all it takes to undo your progress.
The busy road. With traffic never far away, you can't relax unless the lead is on. So it stays on.
The pavement loop. The same lead walk round the estate, and a dog with nowhere to burn off their energy.
The result is a walk you manage rather than enjoy.
Your nearest private fields to Thurrock
We know that feeling. It's why we fenced our first field for our own dog, Fudge, in 2019.
Thurrock sits between 2 of our sites, so you have a choice. Head north to Dunton Road in Laindon, or west to Hall Lane and Bird Lane in Upminster. Both are a short drive.
- Basildon Fields A and B, Dunton Road, Laindon: fully fenced with a shelter and picnic bench.
- Upminster Fields A, B and C, Hall Lane and Bird Lane: farmland views and plenty of room to run.
- Upminster Leaded Dog Walking Field: a private trail for dogs who need to stay on lead.
Every field is fully fenced, booked for sole use and double gated, with a buffer between bookings so you won't meet anyone at your gate.
