Private Dog Fields Near Southend
Southend dog owners, a private field of your own is a short drive away.
You live by the sea, but finding somewhere your dog can run freely isn't always easy. From Leigh on Sea to Westcliff, Hadleigh and Rayleigh, the open spaces are popular, and in summer the beaches come with seasonal restrictions on dogs.
What you want is simple: a safe space where your dog can run, sniff and be a dog, without you on edge the whole time.

What gets in the way
The surprise dog. A busy seafront or park means dogs coming at yours from every direction, and owners who aren't always close behind.
The crowded weekend. When the sun is out, everyone heads for the same few spaces, so there's less room to keep your distance.
The pavement loop. On busy days, the walk shrinks to a lead walk round the block, and your dog's energy comes out at home instead.
It's tiring to walk a dog when you're constantly looking for the next problem.
Your nearest private fields to Southend
We know that feeling. It's why we fenced our first field for our own dog, Fudge, in 2019.
Your nearest fields are in Basildon, a short drive west along the A127. There are 4 private enclosed fields across 2 sites:
- Basildon Fields A and B, Dunton Road, Laindon: fully fenced with a shelter and picnic bench.
- Basildon Field C, Wash Road, Noak Bridge: 3.5 acres, with room to properly run.
- Basildon Field D, Wash Road: 3.5 acres, next to a dog training school.
When you book, the field is yours alone for the session. Entry is double gated, with a buffer between bookings so you won't meet the next person at your gate.
