Private Dog Fields Near Rayleigh

Rayleigh dog owners, a field to yourselves is around 20 minutes away.

You've got the High Street on one side and the lanes out towards Rawreth, Hullbridge and Hockley on the other. Plenty of green space, and plenty of dogs using it. Finding a quiet corner where yours can properly let go is harder than it should be.

What you want is simple. Your dog running flat out, coming back when you call, and climbing into the car properly tired. And a walk you get to enjoy too, instead of spending it watching every path ahead.

What gets in the way

The surprise dog. You round a bend in the woods and there's a dog heading straight for yours, with "he's friendly" drifting over from somewhere behind.

The pavement loop. Some days there's only time for a lap of the estate on the lead. Your dog comes home with all that energy still to burn.

The dark evening. From November the light goes before most people finish work, and fireworks season can make evening walks harder still for a nervous dog.

So you keep the lead short, check every path ahead and feel that knot in your stomach before you've even left the house.

Basildon Fields A and B, Dunton Road, Laindon. A few minutes further on. Each has a field shelter and picnic bench, so you can sit and watch while your dog explores.
